Nine Men's Morris
Get three in a row and capture your opponent's pieces.
Rules
The objective is to reduce the opponent to two pieces (and no mills can be formed) or by leaving them without a legal move. The game starts with an empty board and has three phases:
The first phase is to place pieces on an empty point. If a player is able to place three pieces on contiguous points orthogonally, a mill was formed, which allows them to remove one of the opponent's pieces. A piece in an opponent's mill, however, can be removed only if no other pieces are available. Each player has nine pieces to place in the board.
The second phase is to move a man to an empty adjacent point each turn trying to form mills. A piece may not “jump” another piece.
The third phase only occurs if one player has been reduced to three pieces. This player can now move to any empty point in the board. When this happens, there game must end in up to ten movements or the game is a draw.
